John Thrasher was 12 years old when he attended his first concert, performed by one of his main influences, the Dave Matthews Band.  It was at that time he bought his first guitar, and discovered what he wanted to do for the rest of his life.   In high school, John formed his first band, Finkle and Einhorn, and covered DMB’s “Grey Street” at the senior year talent show to a rousing standing ovation.  In college, at the University of Georgia, who ironically studied Accounting and Spanish, continued to hone his craft for live performance at any local dive that would open its doors.

His original work takes its roots in 90s rock, and singer/songwriter with powerful hooks and diverse instrumentation.  Think Shawn Mullins, Sister Hazel, Ryan Adams, Dave Matthews Band, writing factual stories from an eventful 30 years.  In 2011, Thrasher released his debut album, “Too Young to Slow Down” and in late Spring 2015, he will unveil his sophomore effort, “Back There Again”.  His release show will be on 6/6/2015 at Smith’s Olde Bar, Atlanta Room from 7-9pm.
