LIBERATOR

LIBERATOR formed in 2013 in Athens, GA when Owen Hunt (bass, vocals) moved back to Athens and reconnected with Andrew Steck (guitar) and music educator, Jonathon Beck (drums).

Starting from a straight forward, rock power-trio basis, it was agreed that no style or approach would be off the table for this band.

As the songs for the early set lists/first album, Warpath (2014), were put together, the music manifested in forms from straight-forward rock rhythms, Brazilian and classical guitar approaches, Ennio Morricone inspired cinematics, Baptist preacher/punk hollerin', which coalesced with a tinge of psychedelia to make the group's unique sound.

Live performances are often audio/visual events that feature custom light shows and artistic approaches designed to impress certain mood-enhancing vibes upon the audience.  Abstract ideas are presented musically and visually through shapes, colors and sound.

The band is currently working on its third album which will be released later this year.

TALL AS PINE

Atlanta-based folk rock and blues band

WIEUCA

“A fuzz-heavy, slightly countrified version of the sort of wistful slacker-rock pioneered by Pavement and Dinosaur Jr.” -Flagpole Magazine

“Sort of sounds like if Phineas convinced Ferb to make a vat of peyote soup in 2069.” -Stomp and Stammer

“Wieuca is an OK band at best.” -Jesus Christ

Wieuca first appeared in a sweltering Atlanta basement in 2012, and has since moved to Athens and released several attempts to translate the drunken plurality of life’s general misgivings into the .WAV format.
