SISTER MOON / MOODY HOLLOW / TRIPTYCH SOUL
$8 AT DOOR
Sister Moon is a rock project launched in early 2017 by Atlanta singer-songwriter Ashley Rivera. Referred to more as an art collective rather than band, the outfit conjures up southern gothic sounds and imagery over inky blues.
Described by Indie Music Digest as having a “catchy mystique, an infectious jagged edge,” Ashley is a young veteran of the ATL music scene. In her maiden collaboration with producer David Rowe (Save Grand Canyon, The Spins) and a coven of accomplished artists who contribute as writers, musicians, and visual creators, Sister Moon blends the dark lyrical content and haunting vocals that Rivera has become known for with a new musical heaviness. The result is a spooky rock soundscape that leaves a listener with, as the lyric sings, “goosebumps on your bones."
MOODY HOLLOW IS AN ATLANTA BASED SOUTHERN ROCK GROUP THAT FEATURES BRIT LA PALM ON VOCALS AND GUITAR, JUSTIN DALE ON LEAD GUITAR, JOSH DENHAM ON BASS AND MICHAEL BEAVERS ON DRUMS. IN 2016 THEY WERE THE WINNERS OF THE AKADEMIA AWARD FOR BEST ROCK EP AND WERE NAMED AS ONE OF TOUCHTUNES BREAKOUT ARTIST.THEY HAVE BEEN FEATURED ON 99X, IHEARTRADIO AND PANDORA. THEY INTEND ON RELEASING A FULL LP IN EARLY 2018.
With a variety of musical background, members of Triptych Soul utilize intertwining harmonic liveliness and polyrhythmic structure. Equipped with synthesizers, guitars, and drums, Triptych's jazzy crunch of classical and electronic fusion paves a path for the propulsion of original music.
