Javon Womack’s voice will captivate you with the first buttery note that melts into your ears and seeps into your soul. From groove-worthy rhythm and blues to original silky songs of love, Womack uses edgy electronic and organic elements to possess the listener.
His vocals, songwriting and production talents have been influenced by the quirkiness of Pharrell Williams, boldness from Kanye West, Prince for his individualism and independence and the kindness and work ethic of Michael Jackson.
Before he landed in Atlanta to become part of the growing film and music scene, he played drums and sang for his church and was also percussionist in the marching band in Commerce, Georgia.
Since being in Atlanta he has been involved with numerous projects. He has performed all over Athens and Atlanta, opening up for Egyptian Lover, Killer Mike, Pastor Troy and Toro y Moi.
Other projects include being lead singer in the five piece band Diver’s City, recording ‘The Retrospective Futuristic Sounds’ and ‘The Evolution of Kinship’, as well as professionally producing for other artists.
A prolific writer, Javon Womack has recorded over 100 original songs all of which he self-produced. You can find his music via iTunes, Spotify and Amazon or watch him live at various venues throughout Atlanta and Athens.
His latest accomplishments include the release of the lead single ‘Fire’ available on all digital platforms. The accompanying video and the album titled ‘Organized Chaos’ will be released early spring of 2017. A Southeastern tour is also in the works.
